The short version
- Email hello@skilletjobs.com for help, privacy requests and billing.
- To report someone you're messaging, open that conversation and choose “Block or report” on the website, or tap “More” in the phone app. It blocks you from each other right away and withdraws any job offer between you that hasn't been answered.
- To delete your account, choose “Delete account” in the phone app's Account tab or on the website's “Your account” page. Can't sign in? See Delete your Skillet account.
- If someone is in danger right now, call 911 first.
- Write from the email you signed up with, so we can find your account.

Help with your account
- You can't sign in, or your code didn't arrive.
- Something on the website or in the phone app isn't working. Tell us what you were doing and what happened.
- You want to edit your job seeker profile from your phone. For now, you can only do that on the website.
- You want to change the email you sign in with. There's no screen for that yet.
- Your account is on hold and you think it's a mistake.
- You're an employer and have a question about Skillet checking your business before your first job post goes live.
- You're an employer and need to change your business name, address or cuisine. There's no screen for that yet.
Sign-up and password codes come from no-reply@mail.skilletjobs.com. If one doesn't arrive, check your spam folder. Please don't reply to those emails. Write to hello@skilletjobs.com instead.
Your privacy and your data
Email us to ask what information we have about you, or to fix something you can't edit yourself. You can delete your account yourself, in the phone app or on the website.
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and who can see it.
Delete your Skillet account
You can delete your account yourself, right away. In the phone app, tap the Account tab, then “Delete account”. On the website, open “Your account”, then choose “Delete account”. It can't be undone. Our Delete your account page explains what we delete and what we keep.
If you can't sign in
If you forgot your password, choose “Forgot your password?” on the sign-in screen to set a new one. Then sign in and delete your account yourself.
If that doesn't work, email us:
- Email hello@skilletjobs.com from the email address on your account.
- Write “Delete my account” as the subject.
- We'll reply within 7 days. Once we've checked that the request comes from you, we delete your account within 30 days. It's deleted in the same way as when you do it yourself.
If you can't get into that email any more, write to us anyway from another address and say so. Tell us the name on your profile and the email you signed up with.
Safety problems
If someone is in danger right now, call 911.
If someone you're messaging is harassing you, sending spam or trying a scam, report them from the conversation:
- On the website, open the conversation and choose “Block or report.”
- In the phone app, open the conversation and tap “More” at the top.
Reporting blocks you from each other right away. It also withdraws any job offer between you that hasn't been answered yet. Your report is saved for us to review. After we look at it, we may hide messages, take down a post or put an account on hold.
Reporting doesn't cancel a job that was already accepted. Either of you can still cancel that before its start date. If you're a job seeker, reporting also hides your profile from that employer. The app doesn't tell the other person that you reported them. To them, it looks the same as a block: they can't send messages, and any unanswered job offer is withdrawn.
If you just want the messages to stop, you can block them from the same menu without reporting. You can unblock them later.
To tell us about a job post, a profile or anything outside messages, email us. If you can, paste the link to the job post or profile. If not, tell us the business name and the job title, or the job seeker's name. Then tell us what's wrong. You can also email us to add more detail to a report.
Billing
Paying for job posts isn't switched on yet, so nobody is charged today. Posting is free during our launch period. Job seekers don't pay to use Skillet.
Questions about paying? Email us. Our Refund Policy says when the launch period ends, and has more about paying.
